Reeve Paralysis Act


Obama Signs Act

President Barack Obama recently signed The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Act at the White House. In the course of his remarks, he acknowledged the presence of Chris' older son Matthew and totally surprised him by asking him to come forward. (See video ).

In 2006, WFF Director Steve Lawson asked the Reeve childrens' permission to name the award given to each WFF season's best short as determined by audience vote for Chris and Dana. They gave their consent, and Matthew has been to WFF twice to help present it.
